It's been said that the best teacher is experience, and after spending three decades working in HR, you could say I've learned a lot. I consider it an honor and privilege to work in my profession. I enjoy helping businesses succeed while cultivating a positive employee experience, and I'm excited my journey has led to DMH Consulting.

Diane Mershon Heyman, 


Since the beginning of her career, Diane has dedicated herself to helping businesses thrive through sound HR strategies. She is a highly accomplished Human Resources professional with 30 years of experience, five industry certifications, and demonstrated leadership in talent management, consulting, benefits, compensation, employee relations, succession planning, HR information systems and processes, diversity & inclusion, data analytics, and administration. 

Admired by her peers as wise, calm, resourceful, and inspiring, Diane has mentored many people to assist them in reaching their highest potential and has influenced businesses to become the most desirable places to work.

Career Highlights 

Diane is the founder of DMH Consulting, a Human Resources consultancy working with leaders that seek to align their business goals with HR vision, strategy, people, and processes. 

Most recently, Diane held the position of Chief People Officer & SVP at ALSAC St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Diane provided strategic oversight for all areas of the Human Resources function, including HR consulting, talent acquisition and development, diversity and inclusion, total rewards, employee relations, HR technology, HR data analytics, payroll, and HR shared services. Diane served 25 years working in the hospitality industry at Promus Hotels and Hilton Hotels Corporation and held titles of VP and above for 15 years. While at Hilton, Diane worked in many areas of HR. Her last position held at Hilton was SVP and Global Head of Compensation and Benefits, where she and her international team managed Compensation and Benefits for more than 120,000 Hilton Worldwide employees in 85 countries.

Education & Accreditations 



An alumna of Kansas State University, Diane received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Marketing. She holds the following certifications: SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SCP), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Benefit Professional (CBP), and as a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS). Actively involved in the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), Diane has served on the Memphis board of directors and held the position as the first Diversity and Inclusion Chair. She also served as the SHRM-Memphis president, chair for the HR Executive Roundtable, as well as Area Board member and Secretary on the Tennessee SHRM state council. Currently, Diane serves on the Kansas State University College of Business Management Advisory Board, and the Personnel Advisory Committee for the City of Germantown.
